Post Fiji Signs with Escher Group

Cambridge, Mass. – November 20, 2008 – Post Fiji Limited has formalised its partnership with the Escher Group to upgrade it's counter automation system at its 29 online outlets throughout Fiji.

The postal company signed an agreement with company representatives in Suva today for Escher's postal counter automation solution RiposteEssential™ to be implemented at Post Fiji.

Escher Group is a leading provider of distributed transaction processing and data management solutions and services, offering business to business XML-based transaction management environment, used in thousands of locations worldwide.

A joint statement from the two parties states that based on industry standards, the product enables the rapid development, distribution and management of secure, reliable transactions across multi-channel networks.

"We are excited and look forward to working with Escher as we believe that RiposteEssential™ is the solution that Post Fiji needs", said Seveci Tora, Post Fiji acting CEO.

"And the fact that it is developed with postal specifics in mind is a plus for us. It is proven technology and its extensive, up-to-date capabilities provide Post Fiji with the step we need to capture future business opportunities," he said.

Tora said Post Fiji was the first country in the South Pacific that had selected RiposteEssential™ for its counter automation system, and the 30th postal administration in the world alongside countries such as Australia, USA, Singapore, United Kingdom and South Africa.
