Brunei Postal Services Department was established in Brunei Town (now Bandar Seri Begawan) in 1859. The department employs 367 people including 157 postmen and has 23 post offices and eight vendors. The Brunei Postal Services sells a wide range of services and products through a network of branches strategically located throughout Brunei Darussalam. The post office sought to upgrade their existing system to allow for future strategic development, to improve customer and employee satisfaction, and to deliver greater profitability. Escher’s RiposteEssential has now been deployed in the Kingdom since 2006.
