In September 1998, Deutsche Post (now Deutsche Post World Net) selected Escher Group's Riposte® technology to automate 25,000 postal counters across Germany. Deutsche Post's selection criteria specified requirements for a high-performance user interface, high reliability, security, operating efficiency, and affordable cost of ownership, among other factors.

In 2005, Deutsche Post World Net extended their contract through 2010.
